Psychiatric care for adults in Berkeley.
Feel August is a California telehealth psychiatry practice with an address in Berkeley. Care is delivered by video by default, so most patients in Alameda County are seen from home, usually sooner than they would be seen in a waiting room.
Next opening: Today, 2:20 PM with Jana. That is the live first-visit calendar, not an estimate.
Prescribing, stated plainly
What we will and will not prescribe.
Our clinicians are PMHNP-BCs with full California prescriptive authority, including Schedule II controlled substances. When ADHD is the diagnostic conclusion, stimulants are on the table.
We do not prescribe controlled substances on a first visit as a default rule. Our standard practice is to complete a thorough evaluation, review prior records where they exist, and start a controlled substance at a follow-up rather than on day one. Exceptions exist when the clinical picture clearly warrants it. Your clinician will explain the reasoning behind every prescribing decision, including a no.
We do not prescribe benzodiazepines for chronic anxiety. Refills are sent as a 30-day supply with enough refills to bridge to your next scheduled follow-up; controlled substances are never auto-refilled.
If you are looking for a same-day stimulant prescription, we are not the right practice, and we would rather you know that before you book than after.
Coverage

Our contracts are statewide, so they apply the same in Berkeley as anywhere else in California. Co-pay is typically $20 to $50 depending on your plan. We verify your specific plan within 24 hours of booking and email you the result before your visit.
